Previously the East London line, this section now runs from Dalston Junction in the north, to New Cross, Crystal Palace and West Croydon in the south. We've extended the line to the north and the south.
A full service started running on 23 May between Dalston Junction and New Cross/Crystal Palace and West Croydon via The City with Shoreditch High Street station just five minutes walk from Liverpool Street and Bishops Gate.
- In May 2011 it will extend to Highbury & Islington
- In 2012 it will extend to Clapham Junction
Trains every five minutes (increasing to every four minutes in 2012) will call at all stations between Dalston Junction and Surrey Quays.
Trains every 15 minutes on New Cross, West Croydon and Crystal Palace branches. There will be trains every seven to eight minutes between Surrey Quays and Sydenham.
Improvements
All stations will be refurbished with improved CCTV coverage, Help points, passenger information systems, passenger announcements, lighting and signs.
