The Garth is a small, privately owned hotel in the leafy district of Bloomsbury, close to the British Museum. As a grade II listed, 18th century Georgian town house, the building is of historical interest being the birthplace of William De Morgan the famous potter and novelist. More recent occupants have included artists and inventors.
With only 17 rooms, mostly ensuite, some with shower only, the hotel team pride themselves on a warm and friendly atmosphere and have established a reputation for hospitality, popular with repeat visitors. The public areas are adorned with numerous paintings, photographs and prints to create an art gallery effect. Thoughtful details and a certain intimacy can be found in the hotel with each room comfortably presented with an overall homely feel. Families are welcome, with rooms available to accommodate a family of 4.
