St Alfege, the parish church of Greenwich, is within the Southwark Diocese in the Church of England and is located in Central Greenwich and has regular events which cater for all ages. Join a Thursday lunchtime recital at 13.10 every weekday and weekend, as well as evening concerts and poetry recitals.There has been a church on the same site in Greenwich since the 11th century and it is therefore packed with history. St Alfege was martyred here in 1012 and in 2012 the church will be celebrating his millennium.
